Water your brain
We’ve all heard about the importance of drinking water for our health, but who would have thought that water has a direct impact on our memory! Apparently our brains are made up of up to 85% water, and each time we make as much as a little eye twitch, we use water. Imagine how much water is required studying for an exam or writing an essay. The thought is mind-boggling.
It has also been said that a meagre 3% drop in our body’s hydration, impacts ourshort-term memory, which leads us to forget people’s names, where we left, our books, our phone and so on. Medical research has also suggested that the old peoples’ forgetful disease Alzheimer’s, has a direct link to long term dehydration during one’s life.
So on that note, don’t forget to drink your 8 to 10 glasses of water a day, hydrate your brain, and boost your memory !
