Have you ever thought about how much time you spend just getting from one place to another? Those moments add up whether you're walking to school, riding the bus, or sitting in traffic. And most of the time, we fill them with music, podcasts, or scrolling. Count up the hours in a week. It's quite a lot.

What if you could use that time to study, stress-free and without looking at any notes?

Make studying feel easy and natural

You don’t need to read textbooks on the tram or highlight notes at the bus stop to study. With this simple strategy, you can revise a whole term's content while doing everyday things, without needing more time in the day or feeling like you're sitting at a desk studying.

It’s all about Audio Notes.

What are Audio Notes 🎧

Audio notes are simple. You record your study notes in your voice and listen to them during all those little gaps in your day. Whether it’s a walk, a car ride, cleaning your room, or lying on the floor, you make those moments mini revision sessions without all the effort. You’re just listening, but your brain is still absorbing and reasoning with the information.

Why are Audio Notes so great

  1. Study anywhere: You can study anywhere - walking to school, on transport, sitting around, or lying on your bed.
  2. Great for all learner-types: It’s a super study method for Visual learners who create pictures in their mind as they listen; Auditory learners who learn by listening; and Kinaesthetic learners who can study while being active.
  3. Use-up idle time: You can use up idle time or time normally used for screentime to study easily.
  4. Chilled way to study: It doesn't feel like studying - it’s super chilled and stress-free.
  5. Easily absorb information: Listening to content a few times helps you absorb it easily.

How to create Audio Notes

You don’t need fancy software. You just need your phone. Here’s a simple way to get started:

  1. Choose a topic: Start with a small section of your notes, like one subject or chapter.
  2. Read it out loud: Record yourself reading clearly. Pause between ideas.
  3. Break it up: Record each topic or concept in a separate audio file.
  4. Rename your files: Use clear names to find what you need later.
  5. Start listening: With your earphones, play them during quiet moments. You can even listen while lying in bed before sleep.

At first, you might feel awkward hearing your own voice. But give it a day or two, and you’ll get used to it. You can read along with your audio or let it play while you move. Either way, repetition is key. The more you listen, the more familiar the information becomes, without the stress of “studying.” You’ll be amazed how quickly the content starts to stick.

💡 Bonus Tip

Listening reinforces memory differently, especially for auditory learners. However, it works well for all types of learners when used alongside other methods like reading or writing.

The Result: Studying feels simpler

You’ll start remembering more without even trying. Study becomes something you can fit into your day naturally, not something you must stop everything for.
